Abstract

Very ancient science Ayurveda has its own fundamental principles. Basic five elements are akash, vayu, agni, jal and prithvi. Their combination makes three entities – “tridosh siddhant” (vata, pitta and kapha). They are reciprocal to each other and maintain the homeostasis. Human population is divided into seven different constitutional types, involving one dosha, two doshas (dwandaja) and three doshas. A lot of research has been done based on biochemical, hematological and genetic levels. We have taken randomly 54 clinically healthy volunteers of different nine groups of prakriti according to dominance of vata, pitta and kapha to evaluate temperature, height, weight, BMI, pulse rate, and systolic and diastolic blood pressure. Using one-way Anova test, the calculated F value is less than the tabulated F value. No group has statistically significant difference. The vital function does vary prakriti at static state.
