An Atypical Presentation of Adult Onset Still’s Disease

Abstract


Adult onset Still's Disease (AOSD) is a rare systemic inflammatory disease characterized by persistent high spiking fevers, joint pain, and a distinctive salmon-colored rash. Adult onset Still's disease is treated with anti-inflammatory drugs as well as steroids are also used to treat severe symptoms of Still's. Other commonly used medications include penicillamine, azathioprine, hydroxychloroquine, methotrexate, etc. In this case report, a 30-year-old diagnosed patient of Still’s disease taking conventional treatment for more than two years approached Government Akhandanand Ayurveda Hospital, Ahmedabad and after four weeks of treatment got relief from the symptoms of the disease as well as improvement in laboratory investigation was also found.
