Erythrodermic Psoriasis: A Case Study

Abstract


Psoriasis is a papulosquamous disorder of the skin, characterized by sharply defined erythematosquamous lesions. They vary in size from pinpoint to large plaques. It is a major problem amongst the society because of its ugly appearance, which may influence once personal, familial and social life pattern. In this case report, a 42-year-old female patient suffering from Erythrodermic Psoriasis with chief complain of severe itching, scaling and plaques all over the body visited the OPD of Govt. Akhandanand Ayurvedic Hospital, Ahmedabad. The patient was then admitted in the IPD of the same. Vamana karma mentioned amongst Panchkarma was done followed by Panchtikt ghrit guggulu was given and patient got major relief from all the signs and symptoms which are discussed below.
