Eosinophilia and Its Management with Unani Formulation: A Case Report

Abstract

A 30-year-old man presented in the skin OPD of A & U Tibbia College, Karol Bagh, New Delhi-110005. He complained of diffuse itching without rashes or any lesion with raised absolute eosinophilic count since last 2 months. This patient diagnosed as a case of acute urticaria induced eosinophilia. Patient was given Naqooh Shahtara once daily and treatment was continued till 60 days. At the end of the study, Absolute Eosinophil Count reverted to 350/cmm from 900/cmm and itching was completely resolved. This case report shows the important aspects of differential and specific diagnosis, obtaining a complete history, skin examination and caveats in the approach to the workup of the patient with eosinophilia.
