The early detection of health problems in children is a worthy goal. Survey draws the attention of higher governing authority towards the needs of particular area. School-going children of villages have access to pure cow milk, healthy vegetables and pollution-free environment, which are additional benefits to maintain the health as compared to children of the urban environment. Inspite of this, the general health status of village children remains poor. This can be improved by simple advices regarding utilization of nutrition resources and importance of hygiene. Disease prevention in childhood will reduce the economic burden of nation to a great extent. The aim and objective of this study is to find out the health status of school-going children and to establish the relationship of education, socio-economical status, hygiene and sanitation with the general health. This survey comprises growth and developmental assessment and systemic examination to know the diseases in early stage in school-going children of Gana village. Malnutrition and other diseases were found in quite a good number of students that indicates the requirement of health awareness in the area. Surveillance and its report will be useless if corrective steps are not taken for the present condition.
