Understanding the Principles Governing the Healing Modalities Ayurveda and Aromatherapy
Abstract
The main objective of this article is to research the connection between ancient healing science of ayurveda originated in India and the aromatic plant based alternative therapy aromatherapy tracing back its history to many ancient civilizations of the world. The principle focus of an article is to gain the basic understanding of the principles governing both the healing modalities ayurveda and aromatherapy, use of active ingredients obtained from various aromatic plants to achieve holistic health, their importance of massage in ayurveda as well as in aromatherapy and its dosha specific to aromatic oils.
