In this Panchabhautika Sharira, various processes are going on continuously resulting into loss of various elements. For replacement, one has to consume appropriate Ahara (food). Acharya Charaka states that body is the outcome of food and Agni (factor responsible for digestion) plays important role for proper digestion and metabolism of Ahara (food).
