Diabetes mellitus is chronic ailment associated with life threating target organ damage. The present approach of treatment is to maintain glycaemic level within physiological normal level with different means, which may favour angiopathic changes even with normal blood sugar. Ayurveda believes that Medas i.e. lipid metabolism is important pathological change observed in DM that ends up presentation of elevated level of peripheral blood sugar. The quest is to come with cost effective, natural means to have better glycaemic control and reducing the effect of target organ damage i.e. arresting complications of DM; i.e. neuropathy, renal impairment, cardiomyopathy, retinopathy, etc. Ayurveda with its holistic approach can offer all objectives above. Ayurvedic drug has been time tested and known to produce only goodies and has practically no adverse drug reaction. In this paper, four cases have been presented that have shown marked improvement.
