Computational Approach in Characterization and Structural Perspective of HPSE2 Gene
Abstract
HPSE2 gene is a gene encoded by heparanase2 enzyme in humans. The gene is found to be associated with urofacial syndrome in humans. The gene is found to be located at Chromosome 10:100.22–101 Mb in human and Chromosome 19:42.79–43.39 Mb in mouse. The current work is done to annotate the gene HPSE2 both functionally as well as sequentially. It includes analysis of the mutation at various sites in the sequences along with its comparison to related organism. Identification of the deleterious regions present in the sequence was done. The structure of heparanase2 protein in humans was modeled using Ab-initio modeling technique. The generated structure was evaluated using various different structure validation parameters. This work may aid in providing a platform for further studies on HPSE2 gene in humans.
