Study of Effect of Hijama Bila Shart (Dry Cupping) in Cases of Cervical Spondylosis
Abstract
Abstract Present study was carried out in ZVM Unani Medical College and Hospital, Pune, India in the year 2016 with the aim to study the effect of Hijama Bila Shart (Dry cupping) in cases of cervical spondylosis. Ethical clearance was obtained from institutional ethical committee. 30 patients of cervical spondylosis of age between 25-50 year and either sex were included in the study. Their written consents were obtained. Their thorough clinical examinations were done. X-ray of the neck was taken to confirm the diagnosis of cervical spondylossis. The severity of symptoms was noted. Hijama bila shart was done on the neck on different points on alternate days for a week. Before treatment and after treatment severity of parameter were analyzed by t test. After completion of the study severity of the symptoms and signs were reduced significantly and it was concluded that Hijama Bila Shart (Dry cupping) is an effective modality for the management of cervical spondylosis.
